Ada Requirements For Toilet Paper Dispensers

According to ada requirements toilet tissue dispensers should be installed on the nearest side wall a minimum of 19 inches above the floor and a maximum of 36 inches from the rear wall.

The toilet tissue dispenser must be located on the side wall adjacent to the toilet. In a public bathroom that has stalls at least one must be a standard ada stall. The dispenser must be between 7 180 mm minimum and 9 230 mm maximum in front of the water closet measured to the centerline of the dispenser. When purchasing new dispensers to comply with ada technical requirements make sure reach range and clear floor space requirements are met. However the enclosure walls must meet certain dimensional requirements. All standard stalls must be at least 60 inches wide. Toilet paper dispensers shall comply with 309 4 and shall be 7 inches 180 mm minimum and 9 inches 230 mm maximum in front of the water closet measured to the centerline of the dispenser.
